What is a webinar?
A Webinar is an online seminar. You can attend a Webinar through PC, tablet or phone.
Moreover, a Webinar is (among other things):
- Timesaving
- Dynamic
- and fun!
How do I join a Webinar (attendee)?
Once you have registered for a Webinar through our website, you will receive a confirmation link. In this link, you will have to register for the Webinar. Once you have registered for the Webinar, you will receive a new email with a direct link to the Webinar. Please note that the link will not be active until the Webinar starts.

Which options do I have as an attendee at a Webinar?
As an attendee at a Webinar, you have the same opportunities as if you attended the event in person (almost, at least). Some of these opportunities include:
- You will be able to virtually raise your hand and ask questions through a Q&A box or by speaking into your microphone
- Answer polls
- Chat with chat-room moderator and other participants
Which application do we use for Webinars?
At Dansk IT we use the platform ‘Zoom’ for Webinars. You can read more about Zoom on their website www.zoom.us
How do I register at Zoom?
Once you have registered for a Webinar through www.dit.dk, you will receive a confirmation email containing a link to Zoom, which is the platform we use for Webinars. Through this link you must register for the Zoom Webinar.
Do I have to create a user in order to join the Webinar?
No. You do not have to create a user in Zoom. All you have to do is to insert your name and email.
How do access the Webinar in Zoom once I have registered?
Once you have registered in Zoom, you will receive an email with the final link to the Webinar, along with information about when the meeting will start.
Please note: You may experience issues joining a Webinar if there is a high degree of IT security in your organization. We suggest that you join the Webinar ahead of time to check that it works.
I cannot access the Webinar through the link I received – what to do?
Try the following:
- Close all applications
- Check that the link is correct
- Try and join the Webinar through a different browser
- Alternatively, try and join the Webinar through your phone by downloading the Zoom app and enter the meeting ID, which is to be found in the email you received after registering in Zoom
I cannot download Zoom. Can I join the Webinar through a browser?
Sure, you can. Chrome would be the best choice. After having clicked the link to the Webinar, click on “Join from your browser” and follow these instructions:
Which browser should I use?
You can use the following browsers and versions:
- Google Chrome 53.0.2785 or higher
- Internet Explorer 10 or higher
- Microsoft Edge 38.14393.0.0 or higher
- Safari 10.0.602.1.50 or higher
- Firefox 49.0 or higher
What is the difference between the browser version and the desktop application?
There is no major difference as such between the browser version and the desktop application. However, the features can vary from the different browsers:

What if I am unable to attend the Webinar I registered for?
Should you be unable to attend a Webinar, we ask you to please inform us by sending an email to Meetinspire@dit.dk.
Is the Webinar going to be recorded?
Not necessarily - not all of our Webinars will be recorded and shared. If you wish to receive the video afterwards, please inform us at meetinspire@dit.dk
Can I download previous Webinar-recordings?
No.
What do I do when the Webinar has ended?
At the end of the Webinar, you will be asked to evaluate on the Webinar, which will only take a few minutes. We truly appreciate any feedback you might have.
