Danish IT Society Architecture Certification™ Foundation

The Foundation Certification provides a broad common starting point and better communication for IT architects and others who are involved with IT architecture. The Education for IT Architects is a Danish certification model targeted IT Architecture with FDA (Fællesoffentlig Digital Arkitektur - The common public-sector digital architecture) and The Danish IT Society Architecture Competence Framework – DIT ACF as a context, and also incorporates TOGAF. This certification model forms the basis for Practitioner and Master courses.

The Foundation certification represents the level of introduction of Danish IT Society's certification model in IT architecture. The certification model is illustrated below.

The purpose of this level of Foundation is to present essential models, problems as well as concept clarification. The focus lies on conceptual understanding and knowledge of different IT architecture considerations. The focus also lies on the communication for IT architects and involvement of the right decision makers in order to achieve the goals of the projects.

The target group for the certification is for all with an interest in IT Architecture. The typical participant has some years of practical IT experience focusing on software development, system management, project management or similar.

The certification provides access to the specialized Practitioner certifications and will therefore address relevant issues.

Duration: 60 min. (+ 15 min. in a language other than native language)
Number of questions: 40
Passing percentage: 65%
Format: Online or paper-based exam. Multiple Choice questions.
Available languages: Danish and English
Assistive devices: Not allowed
Level: Foundation
Requirements: None. Self-study is allowed
